Prabhat Ranjan

Prabhat Ranjan is the Vice Chancellor of D Y Patil International University in Akurdi, Pune, and currently serves as the Chairman of Research, Innovation, and International Relations at D Y Patil Pratishthan. They previously held significant roles, including Executive Director of TIFAC, where they led India's Technology Think Tank, and have been involved in research on Nuclear Fusion for nearly 20 years, contributing to the enhancement of Tokamaks in India. Prabhat's expertise also extends to Embedded Systems and Sensor Networks, with notable projects including wildlife tracking and contributions to India's Chandrayaan-II mission. They have a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and have actively participated in various advisory boards and academic institutions throughout their career.
