Augusta Modestino

Augusta Modestino has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research and strategy consulting. Augusta is currently working as the Head of Strategy at AICURA medical GmbH since November 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Scientific Officer at memido starting from March 2021. Augusta also worked as a Biopharma Strategy Consultant at Scitaris from October 2020 to March 2021. Augusta gained valuable experience as a Senior Scientist/Manager at Leonyte Biosystems from July 2019 to September 2020. Augusta's earlier roles include being a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Oregon Health and Science University from July 2017 to June 2019, a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from September 2015 to June 2017, and a Ph.D. Researcher at the University of California, San Diego from September 2010 to December 2014. Augusta also took on the role of a Graduate Student Instructor during their Ph.D. and served as a Ph.D. Researcher Intern at Institut Curie from October 2012 to October 2013. Augusta's early experience includes being an Undergraduate Student Instructor and Undergraduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University from October 2008 to June 2010. Augusta also worked as a Chemical Engineer Consultant Intern at Parsons Corporation from January 2007 to June 2007.

Augusta Modestino completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University from the year 2005 to 2010. Augusta then pursued further education and obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from UC San Diego, studying from 2010 to 2014.
