Mike Schwarz

Mike Schwarz has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Mike is currently the Director of Operations at Worn Again Technologies, where they oversee the construction and operation of a demonstration plant to process and recycle textiles. Prior to this, Mike worked at Ervin from 2015 to 2022 as a Plant Manager, responsible for plant operations and implementing LEAN methodologies. At Ervin Industries, Inc., they served as a Ramp Manager from 2012 to 2014, leading the setup and ramping of a steel plant. Mike also has experience in the renewable energy sector, having worked at Vestas as a Senior Purchase Logistics Manager, Project Manager, and Production Engineering Manager. Earlier in their career, they held roles as an Industrial Engineer at Infineon Technologies, an Academic Employee at IKA Dresden, and a Design Engineer intern at Koenig & Bauer North America. Mike also started their career as a Car Mechanic at Chemix Autocentres.

Mike Schwarz attended Technische Universität Dresden from 1997 to 2003. Mike pursued a degree in Maschinenbau and successfully completed their studies, earning a Diplom-Ingenieur qualification.
