Gene Fridman

Gene Fridman has a diverse and extensive work history starting in 1994 at Hughes Space and Communications as a Software Engineer. Gene later worked at Advanced Bionics Corp., where they held multiple roles from 1997 to 2007, including Systems and Software Engineering Consultant and Principle Software Engineer. Gene also worked as a research fellow at Johns Hopkins University from 2007 to 2009. In 2007, Gene became an Engineering Consultant at MedVentor until 2012. More recently, they joined Aidar Health in 2017 as the Chief Technology Officer and transitioned to The Johns Hopkins University in 2018 as an Assistant Professor, later becoming an Associate Professor.

Gene Fridman completed a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering at The University of Kansas from 1988 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering at Purdue University from 1993 to 1994. Finally, they obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering (NeuroEngineering) from UCLA from 2000 to 2006.
