Hollie’s award-winning documentaries have screened at festivals and have been broadcasted in Australia and internationally. The Opposition was Hollie’s debut feature documentary produced by Media Stockade. Its world premiere was at Hot Docs and IDFA in 2016 before winning 8 awards including the Grand Prize at FIFO, Best Feature at OzFlix Independent Film Awards and Best Feature Documentary at SPA 2017. The Opposition has screened in over 35 countries, developed an impact coalition with over 28 partners and achieved campaign goals including protagonist Joe Moses presenting at the UN Human Rights Council and being granted UK asylum. Hollie has been a freelance tutor in Documentary Directing at NIDA and AFTRS; a Co-Director of The Artists Guild; expanded Doc Society’s Good Pitch into the Pacific region and is currently Director of Schoolhouse Studios in Melbourne. Most recently, she was selected for MECCA Shark Island M-Power Program; Doc Society’s Global Impact Producers Squad and is an active member of the Foundation for Young Australians community. Hollie graduated with First Class Honours in her Bachelor of Film and Television (Hons) from Swinburne University and The Northern Film School in the UK. She was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship and won the University Award for Creative Excellence. Hollie also achieved a Graduate Certificate in Sustainability and Social Change and a Graduate Diploma of Documentary from AFTRS graduating with the Shark Island Prize for Best Social Impact Documentary.
