Hande Demir Holopainen

Hande Demir Holopainen has over 12 years of work experience in various research and project roles. Hande is currently working as a Project Specialist at Aiforia Technologies since January 2022. Previously, Hande took a maternity leave from October 2020 to December 2021. Before that, they worked as a Laboratory Manager at the Stroke and Cerebrovascular Disease Lab, Neurocenter at HUS Helsingin yliopistollinen sairaala from August 2015 to October 2020. Hande also pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree at the Tumor Genomics Laboratory at the University of Helsinki from November 2013 to March 2015. Prior to that, they served as a Research Assistant at the Developmental Neurogenetics Laboratory at the University of Helsinki from September 2011 to April 2012. Hande also gained research experience as a Research Assistant at the Nemaline Myopathy Laboratory at Folkhälsan Institute of Genetics from November 2010 to May 2011, and at the Plant Genome Dynamics Laboratory at the University of Helsinki from September 2010 to May 2011.

Hande Demir Holopainen has a strong educational background in the field of biology and genetics. Hande obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering & Biological Sciences from Sabanci University in the years 2006 to 2010. During this time, they also pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Gothenburg. In 2011 to 2013, Hande pursued a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics & Molecular Biology from the University of Helsinki.

In addition to their formal education, Hande has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In March 2023, they obtained a certification in "Regulation (EU) 2017/745 on medical devices and Regulation (EU) 2017/746 on in vitro diagnostic devices" from Labquality Oy. In October 2022, they obtained a certification in "Event Organizer" from Mothers in Business MiB ry. Furthermore, Hande acquired certifications in "Scrum: The Basics" and "What Is Scrum?" from LinkedIn in October 2022, showcasing their interest and expertise in project management methodologies.
