Patrick Umphrey has extensive work experience in the insurance and financial industry. Patrick started their career in 1991 as the Director of Sales and Marketing at Financial Profiles. Patrick then joined The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America as a Field Representative from 1996 to 1998. Patrick then worked at Financial Profiles again as the Director of Training from 1998 to 2000.

In 2001, they joined MetLife as a Senior Training Consultant until 2005. Patrick then worked at American General Life Companies as a Registered Representative and District Leader from 2004 to 2009.

Patrick joined LPL Financial in 2006 as the Director of Service Center Training until 2009.

Since 2009, Patrick has been working at AIG Direct, where they started as an Account Executive in May 2009. Patrick then became the Senior Sales/Training Manager, responsible for planning, developing, and establishing training and business objectives. As of March 2018, Patrick holds the position of Director of Sales at AIG Direct.

Patrick Umphrey has a strong educational background in financial planning, services, and insurance. In 1986, they began their academic journey at the University of Michigan, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering in 1991.

In 2010, Patrick furthered their expertise in the insurance industry by completing the Fellow, Life Management Institute program at the Life Office Management Association. This program lasted for two years, concluding in 2012.

Continuing their dedication to professional development and expanding their knowledge in the insurance field, they pursued the Chartered Life Underwriter designation from The American College of Financial Services. Patrick successfully completed this program between 2011 and 2013.

Additionally, Patrick undertook the Chartered Financial Consultant program, also from The American College of Financial Services, specializing in financial planning and services. Patrick completed this degree in 2014.

In terms of additional certifications, Patrick obtained the Chartered Life Underwriter® designation in April 2013 from The American College of Financial Services, further validating their expertise in insurance. Moreover, in June 2011, they became a DDI Certified Facilitator after completing the program offered by Development Dimensions International.
