Lorenzo Feruglio

Lorenzo Feruglio began their career in 2012 as an Operation Architecture Engineer for SES (Contractor). In 2013, they began their PhD Candidate role at Politecnico di Torino, where they conducted research in Autonomous Satellite Operations and Technologies for Improving the Autonomy of Small Satellite Missions. Lorenzo was also Team Leader of the CubeSat Team at Politecnico di Torino. In 2014, they were a Visiting Student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Lorenzo visited the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 2015 and 2016 as part of the JPL Visiting Student Research Program. In 2017, they founded and became CEO of AIKO - Infinite ways to autonomy, an Artificial Intelligence for Space Mission automation company.

Lorenzo Feruglio obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2017, after completing a Master of Science (MSc) in Space Engineering from the same institution in 2012. Lorenzo also holds two additional certifications: Developing Software using Design Thinking from SAP, obtained in 2014, and a First Certificate of English from Cambridge English, obtained in 2005.
