Chinedum Okwudire has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Chinedum has been affiliated with the University of Michigan since 2011, starting as an Assistant Professor and eventually becoming an Associate Professor. Chinedum also served as the Associate Chair for Integrative Systems and Design from 2019 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Special Assistant to the Dean for Manufacturing.

In addition to their academic career, Okwudire has also been involved in entrepreneurship. Chinedum founded Ulendo in 2018 and served as the CEO until 2022. Chinedum also held the role of CTO during this period.

Prior to their academic and entrepreneurial pursuits, Okwudire gained valuable industry experience. Chinedum worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and System Optimization Team Leader at the Digital Technology Laboratory Corporation from 2010 to 2011. In 2007, they were a Visiting Researcher at Siemens Linear Motor Systems.

Okwudire's academic journey began in 2003 when they joined the University of British Columbia as a Research/Teaching Assistant. Chinedum later served as a Sessional Instructor at the same institution in 2009.

Chinedum Okwudire completed their education with a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering - Manufacturing Automation from The University of British Columbia, which they obtained in 2009. Before that, they earned a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from Orta Doğu Teknik Üniversitesi / Middle East Technical University between 2001 and 2003. Chinedum's education journey started at the Federal Academy, Suleja (Nigerian Academy for the Gifted and Talented), where they completed their secondary school education from 1992 to 1997.
