Breanne MacKenzie

BreAnne MacKenzie, PhD, currently serves as the Director of Translational Research and Principal Scientist at Aileron Therapeutics since March 2024. Prior to this role, BreAnne worked at Lung Therapeutics, Inc. from July 2017 to April 2024, where positions included Principal Scientist and Senior Research Scientist. BreAnne's research experience also includes a postdoctoral role at UNINOVE from July 2015 to May 2017 and at Justus Liebig University Giessen from April 2014 to March 2015. Academic credentials include a PhD in Molecular Biology and Medicine of the Lung from Justus Liebig University Giessen, a Master of Science in Oral Biology with a focus on Genetics, Cell & Developmental Biology from the University of Minnesota, and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Global Studies, also from the University of Minnesota.
