AiM Land Services has an opportunity for a permanent, full-time Intermediate to Senior Wetland Ecologist to join our Environmental team in Calgary, Alberta.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic candidate to work closely with our field and project management teams, playing an integral role in the expansion of our operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development within your area of expertise.

As a Wetland Ecologist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting wetland surveys, assessments, and monitoring

• Desktop assessments including delineations

• Providing technical wetlands support to project teams

• Liaising with on-site client representatives and contractors

• Provide precise attention to detail and have the ability to produce professional quality deliverables on time and on budget

• Conduct wetland monitoring activities and environmental inspections

• Adheres to maintaining situational awareness on-site

• Capable of performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods with minimal breaks

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and team safety by closely following company safety policies, standards, and procedures

• Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team

We are looking for the following skills and qualifications:

• A Professional Designation from an accredited organization. (PBio, Pag)

• Meet the qualifications as a Wetland Authenticating Professional

• Have a strong understanding of the Wetland Policy and associated Directives

• Experience completing ABWRET evaluations

• Experience conducting a broad variety of wetlands-specific scopes of work in both pre‑construction and construction settings

• Ability to work remotely for extended periods

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license
