Emma Shepard

Emma Shepard is an experienced finance professional currently serving as an Associate Portfolio Manager at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) since January 2024. Previously, Emma held various roles at The Carlyle Group from April 2020 to July 2023, including Vice President, Senior Associate, and Associate, all focused on Private Credit. Prior to that, Emma worked at BMO Financial Group from August 2016 to April 2020, progressing from an Analyst Development Program to an Associate in BMO Sponsor Finance. Emma's early career includes an internship in the Diversified Industries Group at BMO Financial Group in 2015. Emma holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, completed in 2016, and also studied at City, University of London in 2015.
