Sarah Esler

Sarah Esler, CFA has a strong background in mortgage investments and real estate finance. Sarah is currently the Managing Director of Mortgage Investments at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), a position they have held since November 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Senior Portfolio Manager in the same department from September 2019 to December 2022, and as a Portfolio Manager from August 2016 to August 2019.

Before joining AIMCo, Sarah worked at Brookfield Asset Management as Vice President in the Brookfield Financial Real Estate Group from 2007 to 2016. Sarah also gained experience at TD Securities as an Associate in CMBS from 2004 to 2007.

In addition to their work experience, Sarah served as a Board Member at Bellwoods Centres for Community Living from September 2016 to July 2019. Overall, Sarah is an accomplished professional with a focus on mortgage investments and real estate finance.

Sarah Esler, CFA obtained a Commerce degree with a specialization in Urban Land Economics from The University of British Columbia, completing their studies from 1998 to 2002. Additionally, they hold a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute, obtained in 2023.
