Alfonso Lorenzi is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in project finance and investments, particularly in the energy sector. Currently serving as the Director of Spain at AIP Management since October 2021, Alfonso previously held senior roles at Vestas, including Senior Director of Financial Solutions and Structured Finance for Southern Europe, MENA, and LATAM, where responsibilities included leading investment analysis, M&A, and project financing for wind farms. Before Vestas, Alfonso worked as Manager of Project Finance at Ahorro Corporación, overseeing energy and infrastructure finance deals, and as an Associate at KPMG, providing advisory for various sectors. Early career experiences include consultancy at Accenture and an internship as an investment analyst at Ghesa. Alfonso holds an M.B.A. from IE Business School and a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Energy & Fuels from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid.

AIP is an investment manager dedicated to advising institutional investors on direct investments into energy and infrastructure assets in Europe and the US which provide essential services and benefits to society. AIP was originally established as part of PKA AIP in 2012 but was spun out in 2018. Today, the team consists of 37 dedicated professionals with extensive investment experience.
