Joy Sweet began their career at Aiphone Corporation in 1987 as Sr. Manager, Technical & Customer Services, a role that focused on providing quality products and services, and meeting a wide variety of needs for security and convenience in commercial and residential applications. In 1990, they were promoted to Assistant Manager of Tech Support, and then to Technical Support Manager in 1992. In 1994, they were promoted to Product Training Manager. In 1998, they were promoted to Technical Services Manager, which included the Technical Support and Technical Service groups. In 2005, they were promoted to Senior Manager, Customer Services, which added the Customer Service and Repair departments to their group of departments. In 2010, their job title changed to Senior Manager, Technical & Customer Services, since most of their work revolved around the product and technical aspects of the company. In 2015, the Production Department was added to their group of departments. In 1994, Joy Sweet also began their work at Aiphone as Product Training Manager.

Joy Sweet received their HS Diploma from Ferndale High School in 1979. Joy then attended Western Washington University and obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Psychology in 1983. In addition, they received an Organizational & Operational Psychology degree from Western Washington University in 1979.
