Inyang Uwak

Director For Research & Policy at Air Alliance Houston

Inyang Uwak, MD, MPH, DrPH, currently serves as the Director for Research & Policy at Air Alliance Houston, where responsibilities include managing equity-centered data collection efforts and leading community planning initiatives. Acting as an Independent Consultant and Environmental Epidemiologist since September 2022, Inyang evaluates epidemiologic literature and conducts air quality studies. Previously, Inyang worked as a Senior Epidemiologist at the CDC Foundation, providing training and support on environmental epidemiology in Houston. Academic roles include Visiting Postdoctoral Scholar and Graduate Research Assistant at Texas A&M School of Public Health, where Inyang conducted vital research on respiratory infections and air pollution. Inyang holds a Doctor of Public Health degree from Texas A&M University and a Master of Public Health degree from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, among other qualifications.
