Air Alliance Houston
Krystal Mireles is a dedicated public health professional currently serving on the Pasadena Citizens’ Advisory Council at Air Alliance Houston, where engagement with community and industry on critical issues occurs regularly. Prior experience includes roles as a Spanish Translator at Brazos County Health District, facilitating maternal and child health education for Spanish-speaking communities, and a waitress at Taqueria Las Tunas, where responsibility and customer service were emphasized. Additionally, Mireles gained valuable insights during shadowing experiences at Bayshore Dermatology Center and MD Anderson Cancer Center, improving interpersonal skills with diverse patient populations. Academic involvement encompasses a JAMP Summer Internship at Sam Houston State University and undergraduate research at Texas A&M University focused on spinal cord injury. Leadership capabilities are demonstrated as Chief of Community Engagement for Pre-Health Shadowing, where growth and outreach efforts significantly increased the program's reach. Education includes a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from Texas A&M University.
