Riaz Verjee

Riaz Verjee is an experienced airline pilot currently employed by Air Canada since August 2023, flying the Boeing 777-300ER/200LR. Prior to this role, Riaz served as an airline pilot for WestJet from June 2019 to August 2023, operating the DeHavilland Dash 8 Q400. Riaz also contributed as a data collection pilot for clearGRID during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021 and held the position of air ambulance pilot at Keewatin Air LP from November 2018 to June 2019. Previous experience includes aerial data collection for clearGRID and various roles at WestJet and Air Canada, including cabin crew and customer service. Riaz is a commercial pilot graduate from the Calgary Flying Club and has additional educational backgrounds from the University of Calgary and the University of Waterloo.
