David Bixby

David Bixby possesses extensive experience in codes, standards, and engineering certification within the heating and cooling industry. Currently serving as the Manager of Codes & Standards at the Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) since June 2016, David oversees codes development, interacts with code organizations, and supports the development of ACCA standards and manuals. Prior to ACCA, David held positions including Certification Engineer at A. O. Smith, Director of Coalitions at the American Council of Engineering Companies, Manager of Technical Services at the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association, Standards Engineer at American Gas Association Laboratories, and Agency Approval Associate Engineer at Teledyne Laars, each contributing to a robust understanding of safety standards and certification processes in engineering disciplines related to heating equipment.
