Yoav Dekel is an experienced aerospace engineering consultant with a focus on software engineering and flight systems simulation. Currently at AIR since June 2022, responsibilities include developing software in a simulation environment and leading projects on flight controller simulations which encompass autopilot and safety features. Past roles include internships at AIR, where flight autonomy systems were designed and CFD analyses were performed, and Sandia National Laboratories, where algorithms for predictive flight models were created. Yoav holds a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University, complemented by early internship experiences at GEO - Design Engineering Services, Inc. and a strong foundation from Tenafly High School.
