Gudmundur Olason

Gudmundur Olason is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in technical asset management and engineering roles within the airline and aviation maintenance sectors. Currently serving as the Director of Technical Asset Management at Air Lease Corporation since April 2023, Gudmundur previously held key positions at Aero Trading as Technical Vice President, where Gudmundur co-founded the company offering services such as pre-purchase surveys and aircraft lease brokerage. Prior to that, Gudmundur was the VP Technical at Aero Design Global, and Manager Engineering at WOW air, contributing to the establishment of the airline's technical department. Additional experience includes roles at Icelandair, Aero Nusantara Indonesia, Bizjet International, and Drake Air, encompassing responsibilities from aircraft maintenance program engineering to quality assurance inspection of various aircraft components. Gudmundur holds an FAA Part 65 Airframe & Powerplant License and a diploma in Non-destructive Testing from Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology.
