Bhaviata Parbhoo serves as the Data Governance Chapter Lead at Air New Zealand since September 2022, focusing on governance and data management within cloud data platforms utilizing technologies such as Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Airflow, and Kafka. Prior experience includes roles at PwC New Zealand as an Associate Director in Data and AI, where responsibilities included building the analytics and AI practice, and as a Customer Analytics Manager leading customer analytics initiatives. Bhaviata previously worked as a Senior Data Scientist at TYME, implementing ML and AI technologies for enhanced banking experiences, and as Head of Analytics at FNB South Africa, overseeing analytics projects to support business strategy. Early career involved actuarial work at FNB, contributing to credit risk modeling. Bhaviata holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and Computational and Applied Mathematics from the University of the Witwatersrand and is pursuing TASSA certification through ASSA Actuarial Exams.
