Hugh Pearce is an experienced aviation professional with a prominent career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Senior Person Air Operations at Air New Zealand since June 2003, Hugh oversees compliance with Civil Aviation Rules and leads the Group Emergency Management Team. Previous roles include Head of Flight Operations and Deputy Chief Pilot, along with managerial positions in fleet strategy and fleet management for various aircraft models. Prior to Air New Zealand, Hugh served in the Royal New Zealand Air Force from August 1986 to May 2003, achieving the rank of Squadron Leader and gaining extensive experience as a pilot and instructor. Hugh's educational background includes a short course in Crisis Management and Business Continuity from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2018.
