Shabir Hussain

Shabir Hussain, FCIPD, is a seasoned human resources professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as the Executive Director of Human Resources for the Middle East at Air Products since July 2022, Shabir oversees a significant human resources portfolio within the global leader in hydrogen production. Prior to this role, Shabir held key positions at Petroleum Development Oman, including Business Strategy and In-Country Value Manager, and various HR leadership roles, where responsibilities included managing local content across substantial contracts and developing recruitment and talent strategies. Shabir has also worked with Shell, serving as Country HR Director for Iraq and UAE and playing pivotal roles in learning and development across multiple regions. Shabir Hussain holds an MSc in HR Management from the University of London.
