Jim McLain, CDS, CTP has extensive experience in sales and customer service. Jim began their career in 2001 as a Regional Outside Sales for TrailerMasters, Inc., introducing Wabash National brand trailers to multiple customers and growing year-over-year sales in both new and used equipment types. In the same year, they also took on a role as National Account Manager/Cost Analyst at Halvor Lines, Inc., providing cost evaluation of departments, technology enhancements, and equipment proposals. In 2010, they moved to Lawrence Transportation Company as a National Account Manager, acting as a liaison between customers and operations staff to ensure customer service goals were met. In 2012, they joined Qualcomm as a Customer Service Specialist, SR, managing all aspects of assigned accounts and providing on-site training and support to customers. Jim then joined Omnitracs in the same year, taking on roles as a SR Enterprise Account Manager and Customer Service Specialist, SR. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Sales Engineer for Air-Weigh On-Board Scales.

Jim McLain obtained a Practical Nursing degree from Southwest Minnesota State University between 1991 and 1992. Jim then obtained the Certified Director of Safety (CDS) certification from the North American Transportation Management Institute in March 2022, followed by the Certified Transportation Professional (CTP) certification from the National Private Truck Council in February 2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications from LinkedIn, including Leading When You're Not in Charge (January 2023), Learning Asana (October 2022), Customer Success Management Fundamentals (July 2022), Cybersecurity Awareness: Building Your Cybersecurity Vocabulary (June 2022), Cybersecurity Foundations (June 2022), and Onboarding and Adoption Best Practices for Customer Success Management (June 2022).
