Elaine Nelson

Elaine Nelson is an accomplished talent acquisition leader with extensive experience in recruiting and managing teams across international markets. Currently serving as the Head of Talent Acquisition for International at Airbnb since September 2014, Elaine oversees recruitment strategies in EMEA and APAC, previously holding roles that included Senior Manager and Recruiting Manager. In earlier positions, Elaine contributed to technical recruitment efforts focused on software engineering in North America and played a pivotal role in scaling EMEA operations as the first full-cycle recruiter. Prior to Airbnb, Elaine worked as an IT Recruitment Account Manager at Solas Consulting Group, managing client accounts and sourcing candidates, and began a research journey at University College Dublin. Elaine holds an MSc in Environmental Science from University College Dublin and a BSc in Chemistry & Biology from Maynooth University.
