Haichun Chen

Haichun Chen is an experienced leader in machine learning and data science, with a robust career spanning over a decade. At Airbnb, from October 2020 to February 2025, Haichun held multiple roles including Head of AI/ML Data, where leadership was provided to ML Infra teams in building comprehensive frameworks to ensure data, model, and application quality. Previous positions included Engineering Leader roles focused on machine learning infrastructure and foundational ML models, making significant contributions to Airbnb's safety and trustworthiness. Prior to Airbnb, positions included Manager of Data Science and Engineering at Netflix, where a knowledge data product was developed using advanced technologies, and Sr Architect/Group Manager at Adobe, overseeing data science projects. Haichun also worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Google, contributing to major products, and co-founded Inovelli Inc, where a machine learning platform was prototyped for non-technical users. Haichun holds dual Master of Science degrees in Physics and Computer Science from Purdue University.
