John Wesley Hicks

John Wesley Hicks is an accomplished HR professional with extensive experience in global human resources management. Currently serving as the Global Human Resources Director for Central Functions at Airbnb since November 2019, John oversees HR for nine segments and acts as Chief HR Counsel to executive team members. Prior to Airbnb, John held various leadership roles at Chevron from 2002 to November 2019, including HR Director for Latin America and Corporate HR Director for Chevron Lubricants, where responsibilities encompassed managing large teams across multiple countries, spearheading inclusion and diversity initiatives, and leading talent management efforts. John has a Master's Degree in Labor and Industrial Relations and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science & Communications, both from Michigan State University.
