Michael Bachand is an accomplished engineer with extensive experience in software development and investment management. Since July 2015, Michael has worked at Airbnb, focusing on iOS frameworks and tools while also co-leading the Airbnb Engineering mentorship program. As the managing member of Michael Bachand Investments, LLC since April 2018, strategic investments in mobile applications and infrastructure have been a primary focus. Prior to Airbnb, Michael co-founded CalPal, serving as CTO until its acquisition by Airbnb in June 2015. Earlier career roles include software development at Microsoft, where telemetry features for Microsoft Office 2013 were developed, and various internships at Adobe, culminating in the creation of compliance applications and conducting market research. Michael holds a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University.
