Weiping Peng

Weiping Peng is a distinguished engineer at Airbnb since May 2022, previously holding the position of principal software architect at Salesforce from July 2010 to May 2022. During tenure at Salesforce, Weiping contributed to the company's growth from 3,500 employees and 250 million transactions per day to over 70,000 employees and more than 10 billion transactions per day. Key responsibilities included leading the design and implementation of the Salesforce Metadata API and the Salesforce App Builder. Prior experience includes senior developer roles at Yahoo! Inc. and senior product developer at BMC Software, along with a system application analyst position at ABB. Weiping holds an MS in Information Sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Physical Chemistry from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
