Yinhe Cheng

Yinhe Cheng is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and machine learning infrastructure. Currently serving as Vice President and Executive Distinguished Engineer at Capital One since September 2024, Yinhe previously held the role of Senior Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb, where leadership in GenAI Infrastructure development significantly enhanced user productivity and system efficiency. Prior experience includes Chief Architect and Principal ML Scientist at Visa, where strategic advancements in AI platforms supported critical applications such as fraud detection. Earlier, Yinhe contributed to IBM as a Senior Software Engineer and High-Performance Computing Specialist, focusing on real-time image classification and performance optimization for genomics. Yinhe holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Rochester and a B.S. in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
