Yong Cao

Yong Cao is an experienced data and AI engineer with a robust background in developing advanced data solutions across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Senior Engineer for AI & Data at Airbnb since September 2019, Yong Cao has successfully built production-grade infrastructure for large language models and developed custom orchestration layers for natural language interfaces. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Data Engineer at Tesla, where restructuring efforts enhanced data processing speed and consistency, and as Associate Manager of Analytics at Walmart, where Yong Cao created a dynamic dashboard that significantly informed business decisions. Earlier roles involved data analytics at the Center for Responsible Lending and investment analysis at Bank of China. Yong Cao holds a Master’s Degree in Statistics and Economics Modeling from Duke University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Statistics from Colorado State University.
