Marta Castillo de Alvear

Marta Castillo de Alvear is an accomplished Chief Engineering leader at Airbus, with over a decade of experience in aircraft development and sustainability. Key roles include leading technical readiness for various development phases, overseeing the sustainability roadmap for the A330/A340 programs, and providing engineering support for the A330neo with a focus on Rolls Royce RR Trent 7000 engines. Marta has also successfully managed projects in cabin systems, budget allocation, and system integration for new developments. Prior to Airbus, Marta was a ski instructor, teaching young students. Marta holds a degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and a Master's in Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering from ETSi - Universidad de Sevilla, complemented by an exchange program at the University of Technology Sydney.
