Volker Ziegler

Volker Ziegler is an accomplished professional in the field of communication and embedded computing technologies, currently serving as the Head of Department Communication Technologies at Airbus since July 2018. With a background that includes roles such as Head of Departments for Automatic Flight and Communication and RF and Waveforms at Airbus Group Innovations, Volker has demonstrated expertise in managing team budgets, operational performance, and people development. Before joining Airbus, Volker worked as a Technical Expert for Microwave Technologies and Systems at EADS Innovation Works, where responsibilities included leading strategic research projects. Additionally, Volker gained valuable experience as a Research Engineer at Daimler AG and holds a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from Ulm University, complemented by a Diplom-Ingenieur degree from the same institution.
