David R.

David R. has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. David currently serves as the Head of Contracts and Senior Director of Contracts at Airbus US Space & Defense, Inc. Since joining in 2021, they have held various positions, including Senior Manager of Government Contracts.

Prior to their current role, David worked at US Air Force Reserve, where they served as the IMA to the Director of Contingency Contracting. David also held the role of 38th Contracting Squadron Commander and Lt Col - Team Lead Commercial Item Group.

David also gained experience at USAA, where they served as the Director of Risk Management - Third Party Risk Management and Director of Business Risk and Controls in the Supply Chain Area.

David has also worked in various contracting and management roles at US Army, Air Force Research Laboratory, Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA), and Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center.

David began their career in the United States Air Force, where they served as a Contracts Manager for several Air Force organizations. David managed space-based contracts, including those for Human Space Flight support and was the lead contract manager for the first-ever Space Test Flight-1 launch vehicle. David also held the role of Active Duty - Contracting and Information Management during their tenure in the Air Force.

David R. completed their education in a chronological manner. David started their academic journey in 1998, graduating in 2001 from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Management Information Systems, General. David then pursued further education, attending Touro University California from 2003 to 2005, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Information Technology.

In 2011, David enrolled at the USAF Air Command and Staff College, where they successfully earned a Master's Degree in Military Operational Art and Science/Studies, completing their studies in 2014. Continuing their professional development, they later attended the USAF Air War College from 2018 to 2020, focusing on Senior Developmental Education in Military and Strategic Leadership.

In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications to enhance their expertise. These include Product Quality Management (Quality Assurance) Level I from Defense Acquisition University in August 2013, DAWIA Level III - Contracting from Defense Acquisition University in June 2008, Certified Sourcing Professional (CSP) from the Sourcing Industry Group in October 2019, and SIG University - Certified Intelligent Automation Professional (CIAP) from the Sourcing Industry Group in April 2021. It is also worth noting that David holds the Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) and Certified Third Party Risk Manager Professional (C3PRMP) certifications, although the months and years of their completion are not specified.
