Yong Kang (Y.K.) Tay has a range of work experience in the aviation industry. Yong Kang (Y.K.) started their career as a Research Associate at AeroStrategy in 2011, followed by an Analyst/Associate role at ICF SH&E in the same year. In 2014, they joined ICF as a Senior Associate in Aviation Consulting, progressing to Manager in 2016 and then Associate Director in 2017. During their time at ICF, they provided management consulting for the aviation industry and investors, focusing on client coverage, origination of new aviation advisory business, and advising on business plans, transactions, process improvements, and public policies. In 2017, they moved to Aircastle as the Assistant Vice President of Risk for Asia Pacific and later became the Vice President of Marketing for the same region in 2020.
Yong Kang (Y.K.) Tay has a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Global Finance from NYU Stern School of Business. Yong Kang (Y.K.) also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore. Prior to that, they completed their GCE 'A' Levels at Hwa Chong Institution. In addition to their formal education, Yong Kang has obtained certifications in "Fundamentals of Corporate Credit" from Moody's Analytics and "Mergers and Acquisitions Executive Programme" from Nanyang Business School.
