Matt Pruis

Principal Engineer, Implementation at Aireon

Matt Pruis has extensive work experience in the scientific research field. Matt is currently employed at Aireon LLC as a Principal Engineer, Implementation. Prior to this role, they worked as a Senior Implementation Engineer at the same company. Matt also held the position of Senior Research Scientist at NorthWest Research Associates starting in 2023. Before that, they worked as a Research Scientist at the same company from 2018 to 2020. Matt has experience as the Founder and Lead Data Scientist at Sage Data Science, where they specialized in the analysis of large multivariate datasets. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (M.S.) in Oceanography, specializing in Marine Geology and Geophysics, from the same university between 1995 and 1998. Their educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Applied Geophysics, which they achieved at Michigan Technological University from 1991 to 1995.

In addition to their formal education, Matt has also obtained various certifications. Matt completed FEMA IS-00100.b, FEMA IS-00200.b, and FEMA IS-00700.a from FEMA in April 2017. Furthermore, they obtained First Aid CPR AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in January 2017. Matt also holds certifications in Dry Suit Scuba and Open Water Scuba from NASDA, although the dates of completion for these certifications are not available.
