Markus Romar

Markus Romar's work experience begins in 2010 with a position at Kiwa Sverige, where they worked in sales and successfully sold a new certification standard to agricultural producers. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Upplandsbondens ekonomiska föreningen as a Key Account Manager, developing the Upplandsbonden brand and concept. In 2013, Romar co-founded and served as CEO/CFO of Kambo Gård AB, a certified agricultural production and nature restoration company. Markus continued in this role until March 2018, when they handed over the CEO position to their father and brother. From 2018 to 2019, Romar worked as a Senior Project Manager at Optima Planta, a company focused on designing technical solutions for indoor agriculture. In 2019, they founded their own consultancy called Agtech Kickstart AB, where they developed business ideas and served as a strategic partner for innovation-intensive companies in the agtech industry. Finally, Romar is currently co-founder and CSO of AirForestry, a company utilizing cutting-edge technology to thin forests from the air, reducing carbon dioxide emissions and increasing carbon sequestration in forests.

Markus Romar obtained their Bachelor's degree in Agronomy from SLU - Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Markus pursued a Masters program at the same university, specializing in Production Economics, Business Administration, and Entrepreneurship. Their education journey took place from 2007 to 2013.
