Matthew Schmidt is an accomplished professional in business process improvement and supply chain management with extensive experience across multiple industries. Currently serving as Director of Business Process Improvement at Airgas since July 2015, Matthew is responsible for the implementation of lean/six sigma programs and the establishment of the intelligent automation center of excellence. Prior to Airgas, Matthew held roles at Campbell Soup Company where responsibilities included process optimization in logistics and customs compliance. Earlier experience at Motorola involved roles related to supply chain management, focusing on cost reduction and inventory control. Matthew began a consulting career at KPMG Consulting, providing program management for U.S. Army logistics. Matthew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management and Information Systems from Penn State University, an MBA from Saint Joseph's University, and a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Villanova University.
