Ali Jahanshahi, PhD

Ali Jahanshahi, PhD has extensive experience in the fields of research, industry liaison, technology transfer, and marketing. Ali began their career in 2003 as a Market Researcher for GFK Group, where they were responsible for collecting, assessing, and analyzing information on distribution, pricing, branding, and market segmentation for GFK's clients. In 2005, they took on the role of Treasurer & Financial Co-Ordinator for the Red Cross Youth Organisation. From 2007-2013, they served as a Technology Brokering Contract-based advisor to Axenutri on green and sustainable Technology Transfer in the field of Renewable Energy Sources & Alternative Bio-Fuel, and as the Chief Operations Officer at AirGo Design, where they were responsible for consolidating and streamlining technical, investment, partnership, business, and recruitment aspects of their operation. During this time, they also pitched AirGo in over 200 investment events, helping to raise USD800,000 from 2 VCs in Dubai and ca. USD300,000 from angel investors. In 2013, they were appointed as the Director of Industry Liaison Office at the University of Malaya, where they were responsible for connecting and maintaining the relationship with other Universities, Industry, Government (triple helix), coordinating research, and securing financial support thought CSR, grants/scholarship. During their tenure, they secured over USD1Mil CSR financial support from various companies. In 2021, they took on the role of Global Executive Director for Drone Logistics Ecosystem, a global network of companies, universities, government agencies, and investors with the interest to contribute to the drone delivery industry.

Ali Jahanshahi received their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Organic Chemistry from the University of Oxford in 2011. Ali completed their Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry from Lund University in 2006. Ali also attended Polhem school, where they completed a Gymnasium in Natural Sciences. Prior to that, they attended Fäladsgården High School. Ali also completed a Master's degree in Chemistry from Lund University.
