Joseph Burger

Joseph Burger began their professional career as a Lifeguard and Swim Teacher for the San Jose Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department (PRNS) in 2007. Joseph then moved on to become a Swim Instructor and Lifeguard for Saratoga Star Aquatics in 2011. In 2016, Joseph Burger joined App Academy as a Bootcamp Prep Programming Instructor and Bootcamp Prep Online Manager. In 2018, they began working for Zume Inc. and Zume Pizza, Inc. as a Software Engineer. In 2020, Joseph Burger joined Airkit as a Senior Software Engineer. During their first year at Airkit, they worked on web server development, database creation, developing new features for their in-house scripting language and runtime, as well as implementing the front end. During their second year, they primarily worked on back end APIs and orchestrating communications across multiple services and databases.

Joseph Burger received their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Philosophy from UC Santa Barbara between 2007 and 2011. From 2013 to 2015, they studied Computer Science at De Anza College. Joseph graduated from Santa Teresa High School in 2007.
