Larry Williams

Larry Williams has a comprehensive work experience in the military and non-profit sectors. Larry is the President of the Airlift/Tanker Association, where they are responsible for ensuring American military forces have the necessary air mobility capability. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Director of Operations at the 43d Operations Support Squadron. Larry has a long career with the United States Air Force, where they held various leadership positions, including Command Chief for Air Mobility Command, Command Chief for the USAF Expeditionary Center, Command Chief for the 515th Air Mobility Operations Wing, and Superintendent for the Tanker Airlift Control Center. Larry also worked as the Operations Support Squadron/9th Airlift Squadron Superintendent and the 436 Operations Group Superintendent. Larry began their career as a C-5 Crew Chief/Instructor/Evaluator C-5 Flight Engineer in 1989 before transitioning to other roles within the Air Force.

Larry Williams has an extensive education history. Larry obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2006, followed by a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from Touro University Worldwide in 2008. Additionally, they earned three associate degrees in Aircrew Operations, Maintenance, and Instructor Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2004. Larry also completed a Keystone Course in Military Joint Operations Planning and Strategy at the National Defense University. Furthermore, they obtained a certificate in the Leadership Development Program from UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School in 2015 and a certificate in Air Force Smart Operations-21 (Lean/Six Sigma) from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 2008. Alongside their formal education, Larry holds several additional certifications, including Private Pilot/SEL/INST Airplane from the Federal Aviation Administration and Airframe & Powerplant and FAA Flight Engineer License (Turbojet).
