John Heimlich is the Vice President and Chief Economist at Airlines for America, a position held since April 2001, where responsibilities include overseeing economic and energy matters. Previously, John served as the Director of Economic and Market Research at Consumer Energy Alliance from January 2012 to December 2013 and also held the role of Chairman of the Board of Directors, advocating for the interests of energy consumers. Earlier experience includes managerial and analytical roles at United Airlines and American Management Systems. John holds a Master of Public Policy in Transport Economics from Harvard Kennedy School and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Cornell University, along with a high school diploma from Theodore Roosevelt High School.
