Ourania Georgoutsakou

Ourania Georgoutsakou currently serves as the Managing Director at Airlines for Europe (A4E) since June 2023. Previously, Georgoutsakou held the position of Secretary General at LightingEurope from March 2017 to June 2023, where representation of the European lighting manufacturing industry was a primary focus. Prior experience includes a role as Director of Public Policy Europe at SEMI from October 2012 to February 2017, engaging with policymakers to shape technology-related regulations. Georgoutsakou's career also features a tenure at the Assembly of European Regions (AER) from March 2003 to September 2012, serving as Senior Policy Coordinator for both Social Policy and Public Health, as well as Institutional Affairs. Academic qualifications include an LL.M in European Law from the University of Nottingham, an MScEcon in the European Policy Process from Cardiff University, and an ongoing PhD candidacy at the University of the West of England focusing on the role of regions in EU democracy, along with a LL.B in Law from Staffordshire University.
