Jacob Elkins

Jacob Elkins currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at AIRNA since March 2025, having previously held the same title at Sarepta Therapeutics from February 2020 to March 2025. Prior to that, Jacob Elkins was with Biogen from May 2016 to 2022, where roles included Vice President of Research and Early Development and Head of the Acute Neurology Research Unit. Jacob's career began at Biogen Idec, serving in various leadership positions from 2007 to 2015, including Senior Director of Clinical Development. Academic experience includes an Assistant Professorship in the Stroke Sciences Group at the University of California, San Francisco, where Jacob worked from June 2005 to August 2007, and a role as Attending Physician at UCSF Medical Center from 2003 to 2007. Jacob Elkins holds a BA from Princeton University, an MD from Harvard Medical School, and a MAS in Clinical Research from the University of California, San Francisco.
