Ed Thorne has a comprehensive work experience in various marketing and brand management roles. Starting in 2001, they worked as an Assistant E-Channels Manager at Sainsburys Supermarkets Ltd. Ed then joined IHG in 2002 as a Communications Executive, Loyalty Marketing. From 2004 to 2008, they served as a Global Brand Manager at InterContinental Hotel & Resorts, where they developed and managed the global rollout of a new brand identity. At InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, they worked as a Brand Manager, Americas from 2008 to 2009, supporting luxury hotels with brand awareness campaigns and promotions. In 2009, they became the Director Global Brand Management, Crowne Plaza & Hotel Indigo at IHG, responsible for repositioning the two brands globally. Ed then joined Carlson Hotels in 2011 as the Director, Brand Marketing Radisson, leading marketing activities for the Radisson hotel brand in North and South America. In 2014, they joined Hilton as the Director Brand Marketing EMEA, where they achieved significant increases in brand awareness and consideration across eight brands. Ed also held the position of Director Customer Partnerships, EMEA at Hilton, where they grew partnership revenue and negotiated new partnerships. In 2020, they worked as the Global Head of Brand at William Hill, and in 2021, they became the Global Marketing Director at Airport Dimensions. Currently, Ed Thorne is the Director Sponsorships & Media at Enterprise since 2022.
Ed Thorne attended Solent University from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing & Design.
