Jessica Nichols has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Jessica started their career at QBE Insurance in 2002, where they worked as a Customer Service Officer and later became a Dispute Resolution Officer. In 2008, they joined Jetstar Airways as a National Injury Management Coordinator before transitioning to the role of Business Analyst and later Advisor for Safety Systems. In 2014, they joined Telstra as an HSE Advisor, focusing on change management, stakeholder management, and project execution for HSE projects. Currently, they are working at Airservices Australia as the Work Health and Safety Lead, responsible for WHS strategy, governance, reporting, and specialist advice.

Jessica Nichols completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology at RMIT University from 2024 to 2026. Jessica also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Safety Leadership from Griffith University in 2022 and 2023, and a Graduate Certificate in Business Management (Risk Management) from Swinburne University of Technology from 2015 to 2016. In 2014, they received a Diploma in WHS from CBD College and a Certificate IV in WHS from CBD College (Melbourne). Their earlier education includes a Bachelor's degree in International Relations (hons) from La Trobe University, which they completed from 2001 to 2004. Jessica is currently pursuing another Graduate Diploma in Psychology at RMIT University.
