Christopher Fricke has a diverse work experience, beginning with a proctor role at the University of Maryland Baltimore County Department of Geography in 2008. Christopher then held a GIS Intern role at the Maryland Department of Planning in 2008, followed by a Seasonal Ranger role at the Maryland Park Service in 2009. In the same year, they began working at Geographic Information Services, Inc. as a Geospatial Developer, Solutions Engineer, and Help Desk Specialist. In 2015, they joined Acuity Brands as a Lead Application Developer and Senior Application Developer, where they architected and developed ingestion pipelines, researched and implemented solutions utilizing the Azure stack, and collaborated with the team to define coding standards. In 2021, they moved to the role of Engineering Manager at Acuity Brands, and in 2022, they became a Geospatial Data Architect at Airspace Link, Inc.

Christopher Fricke obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Services from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in 2008. In 2015, they earned a GISP certification from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI).
