Senior Software Engineer at Airspan

Alexei Merkushin is a Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in developing software solutions for telecommunications and networking. Currently employed at Elbit Systems Israel since April 2024, and at Airspan Networks since January 2019, Alexei specializes in user space feature development for 4G (LTE) and 5G cellular base stations using C and C++ on an Embedded Linux platform. Previous roles include over a decade at ADVA Optical Networking focusing on NFV development and integration with OpenStack, as well as DSP Software Engineer positions at Celtro where Alexei optimized communication algorithms for mobile networks. Early career experiences include developing embedded software for switches and routers at Marvell–Radlan and RT applications at MobileAccess, with foundational work at ADC-Teledata Communication on SDH card programming, including contributions to a registered patent. Education was completed at the High Technical University in Moscow named after Bauman, from 1983 to 1990.
