Andrew Logothetis

Vice President Technology Innovations & Chief Scientist at Airspan

Andrew Logothetis has diverse work experience in the field of technology and engineering. Andrew started their career as a Research Assistant at the University of Melbourne in 1994 and later worked as a Visiting Researcher at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in 1997. In 1998, they joined Bandspeed Inc as a Principal Research Engineer. Andrew then joined Princeton University as a PostDoc in 1999. In 2000, they started working at Ericsson as a Senior Research Engineer until 2005. Since 2005, Andrew has been associated with Airspan Networks, where they have held various roles including Principal Engineer, Chief Engineer, and currently serves as the Vice President Technology Innovations & Chief Scientist.

Andrew Logothetis has a comprehensive education history. Andrew started their academic journey at the University of Melbourne in 1989, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (Computer) degree from the Department of Computer Science. Simultaneously, they also pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical) degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, focusing on synthetic aperture radar for their dissertation.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Andrew continued their education at the University of Melbourne and obtained a Master of Engineering Science degree from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 1994. Their thesis was centered around bearings only tracking.

Andrew's passion for research led him to pursue a Doctor of Philosophy degree in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Melbourne. From 1995 to 1997, they dedicated their time to their doctoral studies and completed a thesis titled "EM Algorithms for State and Parameter Estimation of Stochastic Dynamical Systems."

With a diverse range of education and a strong background in electrical and electronic engineering, along with expertise in computer science, Andrew Logothetis possesses a well-rounded academic foundation.
